Frequently Asked Questions

Are the effects of Botulin toxin injections permanent?

No, the effects last about 3-4 months.

Do Anti- wrinkle injections hurt?

There is some mild discomfort with injections but Natasha only uses the finest of needles to minimise this.

Will I be advised where I need anti- wrinkle injections?

Natasha will carry out a full consultation prior to any treatment to ensure she fully understands the client’s wishes and expectations. Natasha will be guided by discussing which areas are of concern to the patient and it’s very much a patient led consultation with some gentle guidance from Natasha.

What risks are there from Botulin Toxic injections?

The risks are minimal and it’s very rare for people to have an allergic reaction to Botulin Toxin injections.

You may experience the following:

- headache and flu-like symptoms for the first 24 hours

- bruising, swelling and redness where the needles went in the skin

- temporary weakness and droopiness in your face – for example, your eyelids or eyebrows       may droop if the Botox moves into these areas, this will improve as the treatment wears off.

After having a Chemical Peel will I still be able to go back to work and social engagements straight away or will I need some downtime?

Yes, there is minimal down time after a chemical peel, your face will be a little red for up to 12 hours but you can wear makeup afterwards.

Is Micro-needling painful?

No, you may experience a prickly feeling but a numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment and most people find it quite a relaxing experience.

Can Men have all the treatments that Natasha offers.

Yes, the only treatmet that is slightly different for men is the dermaplanning as they can only have the upper part of the Face done due to the coarse hair they have on the lower face.

Can pregnant and breast-feeding women have the treatments?

Unfortunately, the only treatment they can have is the Dermaplaning.

There are two reasons for this, firstly pregnant and breast feeding women can have unpredictable reactions to treatments due to a change in hormones and secondly there is very limited research and information on the safety in the use of these drugs in pregnant and breast- feeding women.

Can you have a Covid vaccine near to the treatment date?

For most of the treatments it is fine to have your covid vaccine or booster close to your treatmet date, HOWEVER for dermal fillers an lip enhancement please avoid a covid vaccine 2 weeks before and for 3 weeks after your treatment. There is some evidence that it can cause an inflammatory reaction.

Is the Natasha qualified to carry out these treatments?

Yes Natasha is a registered Nurse in the NHS and a member of the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC) she has also done advance training to become an independent Nurse prescriber, she has also trained specifically in all the aesthetic treatments that she offers and continues to update her skills to offer the latest treatments and products.Natasha is also a member of The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) which is the leading Professional Association for Aesthetic Nurses in the UK.
